COMPULINK UNIVERSITY HOSTS A SECURITY
SEMINAR FOR THE MUNICIPAL DATA PROCESSING COUNCIL
New York, NY February 27, 2008- Compulink Technologies Inc. coordinated and hosted an event with the New York City Municipal Information Technology Council, hitherto referred to as the Municipal Data Processing Council, at the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development. The event attracted nearly fifty high-level IT engineers and officers throughout the city’s municipal agencies interested in learning how to update the security implementations already in place. Presenters included VMware on Virtualization, SanDisk and Control Guard on endpoint security and Ingram Micro on wireless security.
Compulink Technologies, Inc. established its Compulink University (CU) arm as a way to deliver its own consulting services as well as industry and manufacturer information to commercial businesses and government agencies. Compulink Technologies’ CEO, Rafael Arboleda, stresses the importance of CU events, “New York City depends on these agencies to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the network backend whether it is Children’s Services’ databases or the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s computer networks. What we try to do is to ensure that the city’s technicians and engineers are aware of the perpetually evolving technologies that could help or hinder their productivity and in turn, the services they provide.”
Compulink University events are held monthly at locations throughout the city.
